SAIL Smart Space is a collaborative group that is comprised of educators, researchers, architects, artists and technology designers

Presently there are 10 members of this collaborative group.

Their goal is to develop specification about a "Smart Space" that is general enough that it can be adopted by other researchers, architects or artists.

SAIL helps move learning content out of a "passive, content distribution" mode, into more of an active, distributed social mode.

The design for SSS is meant to be accessible (as open source) within a community of developers from various fields (education, art, architecture, engineering)
